Farming Entrepreneurship tools for young people

Farming Entrepreneurship tools for young people TC to up-skill young people and youth workers with agriculture entrepreneurship possibilities AND/OR skills

As a follow-up to Erasmus+ ‘Contact Making Event’ we hosted in 2016, followed by EVS hosting in 2017, the4Cs charity identified a need now to up-skill young people and youth workers with agriculture entrepreneurship possibilities AND/OR skills.

Agricultural industry has recently been adapting to the vagaries of the market, changing consumer habits, enhanced environmental regulations, new requirements for product quality, chain management, food safety, sustainability, etc. These changes have cleared the way for new entrants, innovation, and portfolio entrepreneurship. Therefore it is recognized by politicians, practitioners as well as scientists that farmers and growers increasingly require new ways of thinking, collaboration and involvement of young farmers for sustainability, hence this project.

Specific objectives of the training derived from the specialized workshop:

- Provision of NFE tools to spread awareness about agricultural entrepreneurship;
- The combat of youth unemployment especially in rural areas;
- The promotion of environmental awareness among young people;
- Enhance youth involvement in agriculture;
