Training youth workers to navigate group dynamics, emotional awareness and real connection to build safer, inclusive learning spaces
The educational compass of this activity entails:
1) To strengthen participants’ ability to understand, read, and intentionally work with group dynamics, enabling them to consciously support and use group processes as a powerful tool for inclusive, safe, and effective learning in youth work settings
2) Deepen emotional intelligence and self-awareness, and explore personal strategies for emotional grounding and self- management in your role as a youth worker.
3) Reflect on how to integrate emotional awareness and practices into your own youth work context, and exchange ideas, challenges and approaches with fellow participants from different organisations and countries.
4) Engage in emotional awareness and group-based methods in order to explore how these experiences can later be translated and applied in their own youth work practice.
5) Promote and learn to shape real connections and friendships amongst the youth: emphasize the importance of face-to-face interactions, real friendships, and community engagement by
different activities and workshops.
