Exchange of experiences and development of youth volunteering

The "ŻYJ KOLOROWO!" Association has received accreditation from the Erasmus+ program for youth exchanges developing youth volunteering in local communities.

This is a situation in which we no longer have to participate in the competition, because we already have a signed grant agreement and transferred funds. Our task is to gather project partners and develop activities consistent with the objectives set out in the accreditation. In our case, this is the exchange of experiences in the area of ​​school youth volunteering.

We are planning a two-week youth exchange in Wrocław (Poland) soon. It will initially take place between March 30 and April 13, 2025 (the final arrival and departure dates may still shift by 1 or 2 days). We want to invite young people aged 13-15 from 4 European countries to this exchange. We plan that each group will consist of 10 participants + 2 leaders.

During their stay, the participants will primarily:
- present the volunteering activities they are involved in in their country;
- get to know our non-governmental organizations and participate in volunteering initiatives for them;
- participate in several craft workshops;
- promote the idea of ​​helping others among primary school students.

It is very important for us that the young people arriving are between 13 and 15 years old. People under 13 are not eligible for funding in the Erasmus+ program, and our young people will be in this age group. In order for the exchange of experiences to be fruitful, we want the guests to be in the same age group.

It is also important that the exchange includes young people involved in volunteering, because in this area they will exchange experiences and present their volunteering activities several times in different places. We count on each group to present at least 10 different volunteering initiatives undertaken by them and their colleagues.
