EVS in Armenia, European Clubs

Broaden our horizons! CCMS is looking for 4 coordinating/sending organisations for our EVS projects.

Center for Community Mobilization and Support is an Armenian non-profit EVS Hosting Organisation that is located in a region neighbouring Georgia, in Northern Armenia.

We are looking for 4 coordinating/sending organisations for coming ddl to cooperate in EVS field and soon European Solidarity Coprs.

We offer:
1) Two 12-month positions for EVS volunteers per year, on a 6-month rotating basis

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES

As EVS volunteer at CCMS, you will get the opportunity to
- help with the organisation of youth camps and workshops for children and young people from Alaverdi and the surrounding area;
- be a leader on the summer camps, many of which are based in amazing destinations surrounded by ancient monasteries and exceptionally beautiful mountains
- organising our intercultural events for a youth audience. It aims to give foreigners and locals alike the opportunity to meet each other and share experiences from different countries and cultures. This could be in the form of a country-themed evening with traditional food and info about a certain country (e.g.Greek evening), a trip to a place or building in Alaverdi that is important for a certain culture (e.g. monastery, museum), an introduction to a traditional dance from a certain country (e.g. Salsa evening), and many other things. It’s a very versatile project and there is always room for new ideas! As an EVS volunteer you will be responsible for organising these evenings every two weeks, advertising them, and generally making sure that everything runs smoothly.
- creating a social campaign on social media(promote among local community tolerant attitudes and raise awareness on existing stereotypes and the cultural differences in the Caucasus)
- running a blog about EVS life in Armenia,
- writing articles, shooting photos, movies and putting them on CCMS's website and fanpage of CCMS and our EVS volunteers (EVS for CCMS)
- Organize European club’s outside activities as education trips

2) Two 6-9-month positions for EVS volunteers related to activities in specific fields to organize activities, workshops, pieces of training, meetings, games, simulations, informative meetings, trips like:

- ecology, environment protection
- art,
- computers,
- history
- health and sport
- language clubs - very popular among our youth (e.g. English, German, French and Spanish) together with our 50 regular students,
- help out with the daily activities at the CCMS routine includes also paperwork regarding proposals, participation in fundraising and mainly taking care of our web- and Facebook page.
- meetings with children from kindergartens run by CCMS
- participating in a summer camp for youth.

Here, if a volunteer has a specific purpose like research for her/his master/PhD degree, articles, improving Russian, Armenian, English languages, or developing in any other field related to CCMS's activities, the workers of the organisation are ready to support learning process and study of EVS volunteers.
