EVS Global Village

European Platform for Youth Development (EPYD) is preparing a Group EVS application that aims at rising awareness on other cultures, spurring intercultural learning, fighting discrimination, stereotypes and stimulating tolerance and understanding for both the volunteers and the target group.
This is a dynamic and challenging project that addresses all young people, regardless of gender, religion, social or educational background. The project is to be implemented in the South West Oltenia region.
How long?
The EVS service will last 9 months starting with 1st October 2013 in 6 cities form South West of Romania.
Who is invited?
There are 10 available placements for youngsters originating from European Union Programe Countries.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE
The general objective of the project aims towards developing activities that stimulate the personal development, rising awareness on other cultures, spurring intercultural learning, active citizenship and fighting discrimination, stereotypes and stimulating tolerance and understanding of both the target group and the volunteers.
As a volunteer in the Global Village you will be directly involved in the organization of non-formal activities that directly contribute to the achievement of the general objective of the project.
