EVS community project (9 months) is looking for 2 Spanish volunteers to join us to implement models of nonformal educational activities in Snagov community.

We are interested to receive 2 volunteer from Spain and 1 from Latvia to take part in a one year project in Snagov, Romania, starting with 1st of May 2016. During 9 months, they will create, organize and implement models of non-formal educational activities for young people of Snagov community, as well as for the surrounding communities.
This project represents A4ACTION first initiative in the voluntary field and will be implemented in rural area, in Snagov - Ilfov County from 1st of May 2016 to 31st of January 2017. The project involves 3 volunteers, 2 from Latvia and 1 from Spain.
The main objective for this project is to create, organize and implement models of non-formal educational activities for young people in rural area (Snagov community) as well as for the surrounding communities.

WHAT WILL THE VOLUNTEERS DO?
The 3 volunteers will create, organize and implement the following activities:
1. Social activities :
• International evenings during which we aim to promote the cultural values of the volunteers country of origin;
• Workshops that will facilitate the exchange in different fields;
• Organization of events for different age groups;
•To organize Ecological activities.
2. Sport activities :
• To organize teamwork games(football, handbal, childhood games etc);
• Themed rides with the bike in Snagov forest;
• Themed rides with the boats on Snagov lake;
• To organize touristic orientation session with a compass and a map;
• To organize individual activities(archery, flying fox and pendulum etc. )
3. Educational activities:
• Romanian workshops for the young people from the community;
• Workshops that promote the non-formal education and the voluntary;
• To organize information sessions in regards to the environment protection;
• Workshops that promote education by sport activities;
• To organize information sessions in regards to the values promoted by the European Union;
• Workshops that encourage new projects writing and have the aim to form new partnerships.
4. Administrative activities:
• The possibility to create new partners;
• To initiate and deploy new projects based on the needs of young people from the community;
• To translate the association website in English and to upload new useful information;
• To participate in A4ACTION meetings;
• Fundraising;
• To promote the association within the community
• PR activities
The volunteers will work 4 days a week with young people in A4ACTION Youth Center. One day per week the volunteers will work all together in our office, planning the upcoming week and preparing the needed materials.
The total number of working hours for the volunteer every day is of 6 hours, including the Romanian language courses and other type of activities.
PROFILE OF THE SELECTED VOLUNTEERS
We are looking for volunteers with the age between 18 and 30 years also, actively involved in an NGO in their country; we value ambitious youngsters, results orientated, willing to develop him/(her)self and interested in the following areas :
• To promote the values of the European Union in the community where the activity will be held;
• To promote volunteering and its benefits for young people;
• To be willing to work with other young people with the age between 14 and 30 years old;
• To promote the non-formal education with the youngsters from the respective community;
• To be willing to work with young people with fewer opportunities;
• To contribute to the development of the future projects.
• To promote volunteering and its benefits for young people;
• To be interested to learn and implement methods of non-formal education;
• To be willing to develop entrepreneurship;
• To be able to adapt him/herself to a community where another foreign language is spoken;
• To be willing to integrate her/himself into a new community.
He or she needs to be capable to integrate him/herself in a community from the countryside (Snagov village) - 30 km from the capital Bucharest city- community where the leisure activities are less numerous than in other big cities from Romania.
