EVS at La PALMA. Youth is +

- Title of Project: Youth is +
- Place: San Andrés y Sauces, La Palma, Canary Islands, Spain.
- Duration:9 months.
- Objetives:
o Promote and promote the active participation of the young people in their communities, facilitating the development of the same, especially in rural areas.
o Bring the values of European citizenship to youth in rural areas, promoting the opportunities that represents be European citizens, especially in an ultra-peripheral region as Canaries.
o To encourage especially rural youth in their communities, active inclusion and participation.
- Activity: volunteer will work in the Youth Department of San Andrés y Sauces, collaborating and preparing activities for young people during the service. Mainly aims of the department are to get closer the information to young people, increase the youth participation in the community, help to personal develop, show them options of life and health activities.
- Tasks of volunteers:
o Support in the Social Networks and updated youth information, youth collective activities, associations and schools.
o Support for the management and development of projects developed by young people at the local level.
o Participation in the activities of the local community.
o Activities of education and environmental awareness within the unique natural environment of the Canary Islands.
o Assist in informing young people about different youth activities organized by the entity.
o To encourage the meeting of young people on the island to promote the development of activities and youth projects, and bringing the proposals and concerns of local youth.
o Promote ERASMUS+ programme, and promote the participation of the / local young people in it, through the development of youth exchanges projects and/or their participation in EVS projects and formations.
