european voluntary service

Tareas: desarrollar las actividades para niños y jóvenes, ludotechs, apoyo a las obras en el hogar, creatividad talleres, bailes, teatro, deportes, campamento.

Batean offers a lot of free time activities in which the children and young people of the Rochapea can participate. These activities are supported by volunteers, who spend a part of their own free time working with the children. Many of these volunteers have participated in the activities themselves in their childhood, so they know very well the project of Batean and this creates a very personal and friendly atmosphere. There are activities like the ludotec, handicraft workshops, a guitare workshop, theatre, homework support, Basque dances and takes part on the festivities and cultural life of the community.

Furthermore there are groups of teenagers who want to become monitors. They are supported by other monitors, learn how to coordinate groups and how to work in a team. In this way Batean builds a bridge for the young people who are too old to participate in the activities, so that they can use the experiences they gained as children to become a monitor and to support children themselves.

The European Volunteer would be able to take part in this project at different levels: supporting the monitors in the activities they develop, and also on its preparation, organization and evaluation; supporting the develop of the project of the federation by different tasks on its management and organization; BATEAN also works with other assotiations which work with children and young people by free time, so the european volunteer would be able to take part in these activities and their organization.
