“European Drum Circle: Music connects People!”

Specific goals are:
- To perceive the music as a “weapon” to create a committed and integrated community of young people, that focuses on social issues.
- To use the power of music in order to reach, involve and animate young people to share their experiences and act together.

Music has always symbolized, in the history of Humanity, the tool to express emotions in an artistic way, in order to share them especially with a group of people. Music was always present, without borders or barriers, even during the darkest period of the history. The project aims to give an overview of the history of European music and how this has created the bases for the birth of an Integrated and Multicultural European Society.

La bottega delle Percussioni was born with this mission and it specialized itself by using the music as a “personal unique experience”, thanks to the “Drum Circle” methodology.
We want to create a huge “European Drum Circle” in which each one will be free to express his/her emotions. All activities will be led with non-formal methodologies and the hosting organization will provide experienced trainers and facilitators.
The exchange will end with “The Sicilian Music Party”, an whole-day public event.

Each organization we’ll send 6 participants and 1 leader for a total of 28 people. Project will be based in Palermo.
