European art-sport network

We are a group of artists and researchers based in Seine-Saint-Denis leading a Strategic Partnership in the context of the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Our group is called GONGLE and we specialise in theatre projects that explore the relationship between art and sport through social and theatrical experimentation. In the context of the cultural Olympiad, GONGLE together with the county council of Seine Saint-Denis is coordinating a county-wide art-sport network. We facilitate workshops, provide advice, host a web-radio, a video database and promote art-sport events on our Instagram. The ambition for the art-sport network is to extend it beyond France. We are submitting the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership this Autumn with the cultural cooperative Cuesta.

Each partner has a connection to the Olympic and Paralympic games in their city (before, during or after the event) and a loose connection to art-sport. We are reaching out to partners with a connection to the Olympic and Paralympic games in their city active in the fields of sport, art-sport, youth, and education.

This Olympic and Paralympic context has a huge effect on urban planning, the economy and democracy at a local level. The aim of this project is to work on inclusion through employment and the cultural development of public spaces.
