The European Urban Ecology Academy (EURECA)
The European Urban Ecology Academy (EURECA) is a series of online classes on urban biodiversity and practical approaches to minimising human impact on the environment. The classes, aimed at adults, will equip the audience with knowledge on how to protect the environment in everyday life, in their home, work, garden, community. Topics include home maintenance (water, energy), gardening, construction work, space planning, etc. The curriculum pursues the objectives of Sustainable Development Goals.
For the preparation and implementation of the EURECA, activities carried out:
1. A project management and communication system between Partners will be developed and implemented.
2. Good practices will be collected and described, mainly from the countries of the partner organisations.
3. The programme of the Academy, the thematic scope of individual classes, developed educational materials.
4. Conducted on-line classes for adults, taking into account accessibility.
5. Dissemination activities.
Impact
1. Good environmental practices in urban areas collected and described.
2. Educational materials prepared.
3. Conducted EURECA classes - 50 hours by each Partner in 5 countries: Czech Republic, Spain, Poland, Portugal, Italy.
4. International network between Partners established.
5. Environmental awareness of the Partners and EURECA recipients raised.
6. EURECA recipients equipped with practical knowledge on pro-ecological farming methods in home, garden, community.
