Emerges as an innovative initiative to enhance the social inclusion of young disabilities. Focusing on the human-dog bond in Animal-Assisted Activities (AAA).
The project is designed as a dynamic exchange of best practices, bringing together experts and participants from various countries. It focuses exclusively on empowering young people with reduced mobility, offering them a unique opportunity to actively participate and learn.
Over five transformative days, these young participants, supervisior and experts in assisted activities, will be immersed in a variety of activities. These will include hands-on sessions in schools and residential settings, and interactive experiences with animals from our shelter.
As a host country, our expertise lies in dog-assisted activities, but the program will be enriched with contributions from other countries, such as equine-assisted activities. This multidisciplinary approach not only encourages international collaboration but also highlights the profound benefits of animal interactions for youth with mobility issues.
The goal is to create an inclusive and supportive environment where these young people can thrive, gain confidence, and experience the joy and healing power of human-animal connections.
