Empowering Youth Workers Through Traditional Sports and Games [Training Course]

The general purpose of our project; To develop the knowledge, skills and abilities of youth workers on cultural diversity, identity and intercultural learning through traditional sports and games in cooperation with different countries and institutions.

Our project covers the main subjects of E + projects taking place in international multicultural and diverse environments. Within the scope of our project, we aim for the participants to gain positive gains in issues such as Islamophobia, social exclusion and racist approaches, which are increasing in Europe, by emphasizing the EU's policy of unity in diversity and multiculturalism. The principle of "Unity in Diversity", the motto of the EU, accepts the coexistence of people of different languages, religions, cultures, races and geographies. In order to live in a non-discriminatory and tolerant society, inter-communal dialogue, intercultural learning and awareness of diversity must be sustained. As DEK, we believe in the importance of cultural diversity, we want to realize this project in order to be aware of cultural diversity at local and European level and to use this awareness more effectively in the Erasmus + Program and to improve the knowledge, skills and abilities of youth workers by using non-formal education methods in our project.

Our project goals are as follows.
-Encouraging intercultural learning and dialogue in the field of youth work
- Enabling participants to learn and discover EU values
-Supporting youth workers to transfer and integrate their experiences in intercultural and non-formal education.
- Increasing the knowledge, skills and competencies of the participants on issues such as identity, culture, prejudice, tolerance, diversity, solidarity
- Supporting the transfer of our working and cultural capital from tradition to the future in order to make traditional sports and games in different parts of the world attractive again and to create an environment of coexistence.
- To cooperate and cooperate in the European field that will contribute to the development, support and dissemination of traditional sports and games.
