Empowerment of youth workers in working with youth from disadvantaged areas that are facing unemployability and lack of oportunities for them.
enue: the project will be held in Haloze (SLOVENIA), which is less developed area with fewer oportunities for youngsters. Haloze are located in ost part of Slovenia, near Ptuj, which is the oldest city in Slovenia. Because of the lack of job spots and due to difficulties accessing this area or due to difficulties accessing next city with central activities and free jobspots, young people are still leaving this rural area with a lot of potentials.
Purposes of the project and methods:
With the project we want to improve the skills and competences of (future) youth workers by using different kind of methods, wich they can use in future by working with youth from disadvantaged areas or unemployed youth.
- »reflection time« will be an Important »learning to learn« activity in which participants will get to know different kind of methods to do reflictions.
- For experiencing and understanding the identified problems from disadvantaged areas we will use the »walk and talk« methods, »experimental learning« methods and »simulations of experiences«.
- By “passing and receiving” method we want to improve theory input with some specific facts about unemployability within youth.
- By sharing the experiences and real situations about unemployability within youth from disadvantaged areas in participants countries, we also want them to find and present some good practices/good examples who are helping tu reduce the unemployability within youth.
- The participants will be trained for using diferent non-formal methods based on creative solution finding and for public speaking, using visual communication and tools by leading the workshops.
- In an “1 day study trip” we will visit organisations/companies who are represented as a good practice or good example of solving some of the problems regarding unemployability of youth and lack of oportunities for them.
