The project aims to enhance socio-professional development of youth workers from Euro-Mediterranean region pursuing the development of social entrepreneurship.
The project aims to enhance socio-professional development of youth workers from the Euro-Mediterranean region pursuing the development of social entrepreneurship as a sustainable tool to develop local community. Through a non-formal and creative learning process the TC is designed to equip and support youth workers and young people with knowledge, key competences and tools related to social entrepreneurship that are needed to turn entrepreneurial ideas into social start-ups, with a view to tackling challenges and problems identified within their communities and in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
MAIN ISSUES OF THE PROGRAMME:
- Social entrepreneurship in the Euro-Mediterrenean region
- Context analysis: identifying problems and needs
- Developing the social idea: turning problems into objectives
- Development of a social business plan
AREA: EU partner countries + Southern Mediterranean countries (Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey)
Methodology:
- Learning by doing and cooperative learning
- Theatre of the oppressed: image theatre, invisible theatre (A.Boal)
- The Reciprocal Maieutic Approach (D. Dolci)
Duration: Septmebr 2017 (7 days + travel days)
Participant profile:
We are looking for participants with:
- Professional and human interest in social entrepreneurship.
- Engaged in the EuroMed region, especially in youth related initiatives. A short background will be asked from the applicants.
- Interest in collaborating with a growing network of youth organisations in the field of social entrepreneurship in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
- Proficiency in English.
- Organisational affiliation is a plus.
