EFFECT: Empowering Future Leaders through Effective Character Transformation

EFFECT empowers youth workers as future leaders by instilling the 7 Habits, fostering skills, collaboration, and promoting social inclusion

The EFFECT project is based on Stephen R. Covey's book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, aiming to empower youth workers by instilling these transformative habits. The project is structured around a series of professional development activities. These activities include intensive workshops, group discussions, and practical exercises designed to help participants internalize each habit and apply them in their daily work with youth.

The activities are spread across different venues and are meticulously planned to cover each of the 7 Habits in depth:

Be Proactive: Participants will engage in role-playing and scenario analysis to understand the importance of taking initiative and responsibility.
Begin with the End in Mind: Through goal-setting workshops, participants will learn how to define clear objectives and align their actions accordingly.
Put First Things First: Time management sessions will help participants prioritize tasks and focus on what truly matters in their work and personal lives.
Think Win-Win: Collaborative activities will encourage participants to adopt a mindset of mutual benefit, fostering teamwork and cooperation.
Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood: Communication workshops will enhance listening skills and empathy, vital for effective leadership.
Synergize: Group projects will demonstrate the power of synergy, where teamwork leads to greater outcomes than individual efforts.
Sharpen the Saw: Self-care and continuous improvement sessions will emphasize the importance of maintaining a healthy balance in life and work.
Each day is carefully organized to ensure participants can absorb the material, reflect on their experiences, and apply what they've learned in a supportive and engaging environment. By the end of the project, youth workers will have not only mastered these essential habits but also developed a solid network of peers committed to fostering positive change in their communities.
