Echolove Methodology: Youth Workers Training

Additional accessibility and connectivity solutions will be negotiated and included in the partnership agreement based on each partner’s specific needs. The target group Youth workers aged 18+ currently working with young people in their home countries, particularly those operating in underserved communities, marginalised neighbourhoods, or rural areas with limited access to training on relationship education and violence prevention. Social obstacles Many youth workers lack formal training on toxic relationships and embodied methodologies, and may face stigma or institutional resistance when addressing sensitive topics like affective violence. EchoLove addresses this by providing validated, trauma-informed tools rooted in non-formal education, alongside peer support networks that normalise these conversations and reduce professional isolation. Specific measures to overcome social barriers will be agreed upon through the partnership agreement. Economic obstacles Youth workers from underfunded organisations or low-income regions often cannot afford international training opportunities. The project covers participation costs (travel, accommodation, materials) for eligible partners and provides open-access digital resources post-training, ensuring methodology transfer regardless of organisational budget. Tailored financial and logistical support arrangements will be defined and formalised in the partnership agreement. Geographical obstacles Practitioners in remote or peripheral areas have limited access to specialised training and transnational exchange. EchoLove combines a 7-day residential training with follow-up online mentoring and locally adaptable toolkits, enabling replication without requiring continuous physical proximity to urban centres or partner hubs.
