Early Warning App

We are preparing a project in parallel with the actions in the ERASMUS + call, KA2, financed by the European Union . Turkey is located in a geography where disaster diversity and risk are very high. However, we know that the potential disaster risks are high in places where the population density is very high. With the 2015 -2030 Sendai Disaster Risk Reduction Framework , which our country has also signed, our approach to disaster aims at minimizing the loss of life and property through action plans to be made to reduce the risk of disaster before the disaster, leaving the post-disaster recovery. With the project we want to prepare in this context:
- Nowadays, we are planning to make a mobile application project through mobile phones, which is the most effective and fastest way to reach people.
- People who download the mobile application will receive training on correct behavior during and after the disaster through videos and animations on the application.
- Thanks to this application, a warning system will be created by using meteorological and geographical data so that necessary warnings can be made to people in regions with disaster risk (storm, tornado, flood, etc.)
- A communication network will be established with an environment where people can share photos, videos and texts on a platform that will be created depending on the application during and after the disaster.
- With this application, we aim to enable non-governmental organizations, volunteers and official institutions to work in a synchronized manner in pre-disaster education, information sharing at the time of disaster, and aid and recovery after disasters.
- It will be ensured that task notifications are sent to those who will be disaster volunteers, from the technical personnel registered with the professional chambers, from the local people, as of the moment the disaster warning is given, integrated with the application, so that the necessary interventions can be made in the event of a disaster until professional help arrives.
