E-TEACHERS – Innovative Approaches for Teacher Training

To innovate teacher training by incorporating VR to develop essential transversal skills for classroom management and professional well-being.

E-Training is a project in the field of School Education (SCH) and we are lookint for a school consortium to increase the impact of the project, test and better disseminate its reuslts.

Teaching is an increasingly complex profession that requires not only subject-specific knowledge but also soft skills, such as classroom management, effective communication, conflict resolution, and stress management.

Teachers, especially newly hired ones, often find themselves unprepared to handle critical situations such as:

- Managing students with special educational needs (SEN and learning disabilities).
- Communicating with families and colleagues in challenging contexts.
- Managing multicultural classrooms and fostering inclusion dynamics.
- Addressing bullying and conflict situations in the classroom.
- Adapting to innovative teaching methodologies and digitalization in education.

Despite the importance of these skills, initial teacher training still primarily focuses on theoretical knowledge, with little attention given to soft skills and the practical management of school dynamics.

E-TEACHERS aims to fill this gap by utilizing immersive tools and virtual reality (VR) simulations to prepare teachers to face their roles effectively and confidently.
