The idea of the project is to support the inclusion of young people from minority communities by merging ICT & non-formal education to achieve better impact.
With this project we (our partnership) are intended to develop, share and disseminate best practices of e-inclusion that influence the participation of youth from minority background and remote area at local level.
Aim and Objectives
The aim of project is to raise the capacities of partner youth organizations by empowering and improving competences of youth workers/leaders and professionals that are working with minorities, vulnerable and excluded groups within their organizations and communities, to initiate concrete activities for their inclusion in society by promoting and raising awareness about the possibilities of ICT via non-formal education.
To reach its aim, the project has the following specific objectives:
1.To support youth workers/leaders to enable young people from minority communities in developing skills and ethical attitudes while using online-media tools in their youth project.
2.To foster innovative practice exchange in the field of youth e-participation in democratic processes and civil society between participating countries from different regions of Europe using non-formal methodologies
3.To increase participants knowledge about minorities rights in particular and human rights in general, challenges and violation of rights minorities face, minority-majority relations, intercultural and interfaith dialogue and different models of social inclusion of minorities in European Union and Eastern European countries
4.To support youth workers and organizations in developing quality projects or activities using ICT that involve or benefit minority young people and promote social inclusion on all levels (from the local to the European level)
5.To explore, develop and disseminate non-formal educational and online tools and methodology (intellectual output) for minority youth inclusion in particular and youth work with minority youth in general;
Understanding all vital aspects of electronic means in democratic youth representation and e-participation can enable youth organizations to become the forefront of influence and decision making, ensure the legitimacy of the processes and act as trained multipliers in National networks mainstreaming youth access to the decision-making process and participate in civil society via electronic means.
The flow of the activities consists of 6 phases out of which 2 are mobility activities and 4 international meetings: Preparation meeting, Training Course, Youth Exchange, Follow up, Dissemination and Evaluation meeting phases.
Organization and Participants profile
We are looking for the organizations that are interested or have experience related to the topic. This could be the experience of working with young people from minority background or promoting ICT in youth work and e-participation.
The participants are to be youth workers, young leaders, or educators that are working with minority communities on the topic of inclusion. They should be willing to multiply and disseminate the outcome of the activity afterward, as well as committed bringing their good practices and expertise to share with the group.
Responsibilities of all Partners
• Contribute to the production of educational materials
• Disseminate the project and its outcomes in their own countries
• Send dedicated participants
• Be involved in the whole process of the project and follow-ups
