Dreamsmakers: Coaching For Social Leadership

According the current socio-economic and environmental crisis, it becomes essential to find ways to propose alternative society models of sustainability, with policies that focus on a consistent growth and social issues rather than economic ones, based on the individuals as agents of social transformation.
Through the collaboration between Palante Association and School of Living “Dreammakers”, we design “Dreammakers: Coaching for Leadership”. The project proposes a youth exchange for eleven days between 25 youngsters from five EU countries aged between 19 and 29 years. The purpose of this exchange is to develop europeans youngsters as social leaders, focussed in create initiatives of Social Emtrepreneurship.
PALANTE Association is a youngster collective that was created in 2006, as a answer to the social and youngsters needs. Instead of human resourses, in Palante Association there are people with resources that promote a variety of innovative projects.
Dreammakers is a innovative education project that works in the University of Málaga. The project helps youngsters and initiatives to discover and developt their dreams, purposes and skills as professional careers, expanding Holistic Education to the University.
During the exchange, we focus into develop a educative process based on experiential dimension. Providing a innovative education methodology, we offer experiences and training different subjects about sustanaible lifestyles and societies committed to social equality and respect for the environment, all contributing to personal development through differents workshops, self-management groups and personal challenges. So we propose a non-formal and informal learning that help to create open, practical and participatory processes. We will cover the basic needs of individuals with the lowest possible ecological footprint, fomenting a sustainable and local trade and self-production. Also we propose workshops, strategies and tools that it will be used to organize their own social entrepreneurship initiatives, that can be developed once the meeting is over.
