Despite the fact that we are in 2017 and that English is the vehicular language that tries to unify and keep in touch as many people as possible, the linguistic difference among the different nations is still an obstacle that can’t be underestimate.
So trying to stimulate the interest and the curiosity towards the knowledge of other foreign languages and cultures through non-formal activities could be a further help to promote the multiculturalism.
The aim is to give some guys with minor opportunities and different social and economic backgrounds the possibility to meet other peers with different life experiences who come from countries different from their own one to encourage them to understand how important is giving value to the social, cultural and linguistic differences to facilitate their integration in our multi-ethnic society.
This youth exchange focuses its attention on creating socialization moments among guys coming from several nations with a different cultural, social and economic background. Secondly it is proposed to reduce the linguistic barriers trying to learn some of the basic notions of the foreign languages spoken by the participants by using music, sport, cooking, games and theatre.
Doing like this we will try to increase the intercultural dialogue and at the same time we will try to decrease the obstacles that limit the communications and the relationships.
The most important objectives of the youth exchange are:
• Stimulate the curiosity towards new cultures and improve the basic competences in the foreign languages.
• Facilitate the international mobility and the integration in the society of guys with fewer opportunities.
• Stimulate the intercultural dialogue.
