Do It For Forest

A workcamp aiming to raise awareness about and contribute to the conservation of the forest through ecotourism and informal education of global youth.

Apart raising environmental awareness of young people around the world, focused mainly on deforestation issue, the project aims to contribute to the conservation of the forest through ecotourism and informal education of global youth in cooperation with locals.

Do It For Forest is a work camp for which people from various countries will come to Cameroon for two to three weeks during which they will plant trees, participate to workshops demonstrating alternative sustainable ways of livelihood which do not damage the forest, work on group projects during which they will generate new ideas about how to contribute to sustainable development both in the region and in the world, take part in debates about environmental challenges as well as travel in the region and participate in the cultural events with locals in order to discover Cameroonian culture.

The workcamp will take place from 13 June to 3 July 2016 close to Bamenda in North-West region of Cameroon.

Organization Kedjom-Keku cooperates on this project with local NGOs and we are looking for another partners based in other countries in order to apply for ERASMUS+ grant, Key Action 2.
