The Partner-Finding Tool
“Do it” aims at sending young people with fewer opportunities (NEETs) abroad on short-term volunteering missions (59 days maximum).
The association "Parcours Le Monde - Grand Ouest" (PLMGO) aims to promote and develop, through formal and non-formal education, European and international mobility, intercultural dialogue and citizenship. PLMGO’s actions particularly target young people (16-25) who are far from mobility, with fewer opportunities, the objectives being their empowerment, as well as their social and professional integration.
Do It 4 allows us to propose short-term volunteering missions of 2 months maximum for young people with fewer opportunities and/or young people without employment or training. The young people involved in these projects have little or no experience of international mobility and are generally involved in a destabilizing process of construction or questioning, they have difficulties identifying their own needs, expectations, and/or professional and personal desires. Our role as a sending and leading structure is to make them aware that European and international mobility is an option for them, even if they have few diplomas, little experience or a low level of language, and that they can give themselves the time to build themselves to better find their path.
We will send 4 volunteers per session, with four sessions planned between January 2023 and February 2024. The volunteering activities must involve either:
- Climate action & Environment
- Youth & Children
- Intercultural dialogue
- New Technologies & Digital skills
As the target group is composed of NEETs, they require a strengthened tutoring, both by the sending and the hosting organization. We are looking for partners able and willing to host young people with fewer opportunities, sharing our values regarding social inclusion.
