EVS long-term project in Ramnicu Valcea (Romania). Main tasks will be non-formal education activities and workshops with children and youngsters.
Long-term EVS project for 6 international volunteers (18-30 years old) from November 2017, 9 months in Râmnicu Vâlcea (Romania).
The project involves two lines of activities:
- 3 volunteers will implement their activities in 1 Residential Community (“Copacelu”) and in 1 Social Apartment.
- 3 volunteers will implement their activities in 1 Primary School of Râmnicu Vâlcea and in 1 Social Apartment.
The activities will imply art, music and theatre workshops, sport activities, language courses and outdoors activities and will be developed and put into practice by following the non-formal education method.
Other planned activities of the project are:
- Organizing promotional events in order to rise awareness between the citizens about the fundamental importance of volunteering as a tool for building a more inclusive and cohesive local and European society.
- Organizing events for Romanian youngsters (in schools, universities, libraries, etc.) to inform them about the opportunities provided by the Erasmus+ programme.
- Organizing fundraising events for the benefit of the children with less opportunities included in our programme, in order to provide them a better education and life quality.
The volunteers will put into practice all their tasks with the help of the local staff and local volunteers.
The project has as main objectives:
- The personal development of the volunteers;
- Stimulating the encounter between young people with different cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds;
- The development of a more cohesive and aware society; addressing the issue of poverty and marginalization;
- Offering the children involved an alternative to the formal education system.
