DiverCity - Minding Minorities

The mission of Per Esempio is to reinforce social cohesion in the targeted communities, evoking constructive processes for local as well as for international community development. The activities of the organisation particularly aim at
empowering individuals and groups at risk of social exclusion by contributing to the development and improvement of their skills, knowledge and competences.

We aim to gather 30 participants from 5 Programme Countries for a 7 day long
youth exchange.

Date and venue:
The activity will take place in Palermo, Italy.
Date: October 2015.

Objectives:
- to foster intercultural dialogue and fight stereotypes and prejudices as
means to contribute to a more diverse and inclusive society
- to educate about human rights and to promote active European citizenship
- to learn new methods of conflict prevention and conflict resolution

Number and profile of participants:
We are looking for partners from Austria, France, Estonia and Hungary.
From each country we plan to involve 5 participants+1 youth leader where half of
the group should be young people with fewer opportunities and representatives of minorities in their country. The participants should be aged between 16 and 20 (except the youth leader – there is only a minimum age limit of 18).
