Discover Volunteering - The Fastest Track to Success in Your Career!

The aim is to motivate young people to participate in voluntary work as a way to gain work experience and become desirable employees in the labor market.

Kaunas University of Technology Student Union which is working for students academic , social and proffesional well-being is organizing a youth exchange called "Discover volunteering - the fastest track to success in your career!". The project will take place in Lithuania from the 14th to the 21th of August. It will involve 30 participants from 6 countries.

The aim of this youth exchange is to motivate youngsters to become volunteers and to participate in a non-paid activities as a way to gain work experience and become desirable in a labor market. Also, we seek to encourage international mobility of youngsters and sharing intercultural experiences. Particpants will be informed about the best opportunities to become volunteers not only in Europe but in the whole world. They will gain practical ant theorethical knowledge that is crucial in order to start their own bussiness, and also participants will discuss the most important requirements that many employers have. People who have successful careers will share their stories about how volunteering helped them become successful. Also, there will be disscusions about problems people with fewer opportunities face while trying to integrate in the labor market and how to solve them.

After the project participants will have gained knowledge about the best volunteering opportunities that would help to gain work experience required to become succesful in the labor market.
