"Discover learning spaces " ESC - Call for participants

Welcome to the WELT.RÄUME children's house and Montessori school!

The WELT.RÄUME Kinderhaus is a day care centre for children from the age of 3 until they start school, as well as a state-approved alternative school for grades 1-4. Based on Maria Montessori’s reform pedagogical concept of “Help me to do it myself,” we provide an environment where children can develop their independence, creativity, and love for learning. Our approach combines sensory materials, hands-on exercises from daily life, and subject-focused activities in areas like language, mathematics, and geography. Regular physical activity and valuing responsability, freedom and enthusiasm are integral parts of our concept. The WELT.RÄUME Montessori School works in cross-age learning groups. We see ourselves as learning companions, guiding children on their path.

Participants will assist in everyday tasks such as supporting children with meals, personal hygiene, and group activities; fostering emotional well-being; designing learning spaces and assisting with Montessori-based activities. We do not expect volunteers to have any particular educational qualifications but openness, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with children are what matter most to us. Volunteers will also have the opportunity for personal growth, setting and reflecting on their own learning goals in regular feedback sessions.
