Digital Wave & Mediterranean

Youth Exchange in Italy about AI, social media, sustainability, and youth communication through non-formal education activities.

“Digital Wave & Mediterranean” is a youth exchange project that will bring together young people from Türkiye, Greece, Spain, and Portugal in Italy to discuss how Artificial Intelligence and digitalisation are changing the way young people communicate, create, learn, and interact with each other.

Today, AI and social media are becoming part of everyday life, especially for young people. Through this project, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on topics such as online behaviour, social media pressure, digital identity, misinformation, and the future influence of AI on society and youth.

The project will be based on non-formal education methods and active participation. Activities will include workshops, group discussions, Forum Theatre, outdoor reflection activities, intercultural learning, and teamwork-based sessions focused on critical thinking, communication, and conscious technology use.

At the same time, the exchange aims to create a comfortable intercultural environment where participants can build meaningful connections, exchange ideas and experiences, and learn from each other while exploring sustainability, wellbeing, and life in the digital era together.

The project will involve 37 participants aged 18–30. Each partner organisation will participate with 6 participants and 1 group leader.
