DigiHealth: Digital Health Literacy of Youth

Empowering youth from 6 countries to debunk social media health myths through algorithm literacy, fact-checking, and counter-narrative creation.

DigiHealth is a high-impact, 5-day Youth Exchange (KA152) which will be held in Istanbul, bringing together 36 participants from six countries.

In the complex digital landscape of 2026, where AI-generated content and social media algorithms dictate personal health narratives, this project aims to transform young people from passive content consumers into critical Digital Health Ambassadors.

The Core Problem & Context
The project addresses the "Infodemic"—the rapid spread of health disinformation that leads to dangerous self-medication, antibiotic resistance, and increased mental anxiety (Cyberchondria). While youth are "digitally native," they often lack the technical and psychological resilience to identify Algorithmic Traps or the Influencer Effect, where popularity is mistaken for medical authority.
