This project aims to make older adults active, learning and value-creating individuals through improved digital competences and awareness.
Older adults across Europe and in Turkey face difficulties in accessing digital services, are becoming increasingly vulnerable to phone, SMS, email, and social media scams. They also experience loneliness, loss of self-confidence, and social invisibility due to digital and social exclusion. Meanwhile, public services (e-Government, municipal services, banking, healthcare) are rapidly digitalizing. This project treats older adults not as a passive "group in need of protection," but as active, learning, and value-creating individuals. The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the digital skills of older adults, ensuring their safe, active, and dignified participation in social life. The specific objectives of the project are to improve the basic digital skills of older adults, to raise awareness against digital fraud, fake news, and disinformation, to ensure older adults feel valued as contributing members of society, to develop an age-friendly digital education model for municipalities, and to share best practices across Europe and ensure their sustainability.
