DI.SK FOR E.U - DIGITAL SKILLS FOR EUROPE

The aim of the training course is to provide new digital knowledge and skills to young workers and to share practical experience in using social media and social networks as a tool in youth work.
The idea of this training course was born, considering youngsters deal more and more with technology internet and mobile devices so for youth workers not always “digital born” it has becoming fundamental to deepen this form of communication for their daily work with young, especially considering digital devices represent a mean for reaching, motivating, involving and promoting social inclusion and active citizenship between young people.

Leaving from these considerations “DI.SK FOR E.U” individuated the following specific objectives:
- getting familiar and friendly with popular applications and digital tools, such as: #, QR Code, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, FB, Geocashing, lipdub, Whatsapp
- bringing people of different (professional) backgrounds together to share experiences with digitalized youth and to develop creative digital methods for youth work with particular focus on the subjects of European citizenship and social inclusion
- analyzing how technology can be designed and used to enable marginalized young people(coming from difficult context also from immigrant families) in bringing their social capital into society, developing their creativity, intellectual skill, or social attitudes, and acquiring key competences.
- Analyze how to educate young to an efficient use of digital tools as for example for the promotion of their business or ideas
- sharing practical experience of partners in using social media and social networks as a tool in youth work (for example with young immigrants or in the promoting of Eu citizenship), while ensuring safety and protection of young people in the online environment
- Creating a network of youth workers that can continue to share professional experiences also at the end of the project.
