EVS project in Arad, Romania, that will take place from March 2017 for 7 months. Each partner has to select and prepare 2 volunteers.
The project wants to give the best opportunities for the people who live in condition of extreme poverty in the city of Arad.
Dare to Dream project is born thanks to the collaboration with the Foundation “Vis de Copil”, that everyday welcome in their center many families, children and adults with economical and social problem. We start to collaborate with them with a project for the Italian government; thanks to this we were able to understand their needs and to see how the presence of volunteers had a great effect on We want to satisfy, with this project, the needs of:
• Primary education both for children and adults.
• Knowledge of rights and social responsibility.
• Lack of attention of the children’s needs.
The volunteer will be in touch mostly with Roma children and their families and people that live in the street.
The volunteer will be in the centre of a path where he can develop skills that will be useful both for in a future work and for a personal growth.
The tasks for the volunteer will be:
• Daily not formal education activities with children;
• Daily not formal education activities with people who lives in the street;
• One-site activities in one of the poorest area of Arad;
• Themed-campaign for environment, human rights, European values and social responsibility;
• Providing guidance and support for local youth who would like to take part in international youth exchanges or volunteering (EVS or other opportunities).
• Promoting and sharing the activities and the events thought a blog and a Facebook page.
Volunteer’s profile:
The volunteer we would like to host should have a strong motivation to spend 7 months in on other country and to be actively involved in the activities of the project, plus an open mind for the realty and different culture that they will encounter. The age of the volunteer have to be between 18-30 years old. We hope to find people willing to develop personal skills, abilities and attitudes like communication, team work, conflict management, negotiation and decision making, ect.
We would like that our future volunteer have a basic knowledge of English that will help in his development and in the project.
