DANZA MOVIMENTO NATURALE PROJECT

The richness of the ancient cultural heritage of Sicily required a policy of conservation and enhancement of the same. The imperatives of the European and global context demand to Sicily a careful answer about modernity, with which local youth confronts today.
The progressive increase and continuous drain of Italian young talents abroad, due to lack of training and, further, working opportunities in our country should alert cultural operators, witnesses of the diaspora of an increasingly less satisfied audience on cultural offer.
In this regard L'Espace proposes the Danza Movimento Naturale project, in response to the following needs:
- Courses in dance;
- Cultural initiatives in dance;
- Creation of a local network and / or inclusion in the European youth network of performing arts;
- A structured training about the learning of contemporary dance and the ability to transmit dancers’ knowledge, providing thorough pedagogical tools;
General objects:
- Creation of a transnational network that allows a reference study course toward training of contemporary professional dancers, through the transmission of technical knowledge and scientific methodology, capable to make productive the potentialities of local and European talents and promote the momentum of cultural enterprises and the creation of new working opportunities;
- Enhancement and development of performing arts field by creating artistic products up to the international scene;

Specific Aims:
- Creation of a European network for the exchange of know-how in a multicultural environment;
- Production of a training course on contemporary dance that includes both theoretical and practical;
- Creation of a degree of contemporary dance that makes valid the cultural and bodily knowledge, transmitted during the training course.

Target
Young, aged between 18 and 26 years, with the desire to pursue a career in dance.

ACTIVITIES:
preparatory visits
youth exchanges (4 person for each country) lasting 10 days to training activities, cultural exchanges and joint work
