Dance-nature and sport in French Guiana

We want to receive organisation and people who worked with young people around dance, environnement and sport: how could we help young by using dance and sport.

Dance is a physical expression allowing those who practice to excel but also to accept
physically. The canons of beauty created many current frustrations and complexes within the African youth in the community. Indeed they do not meet the criteria of beauty "thin and fine." By their morphology, these youngs girls of African descent do not feel they fit the clichés in the media and other advertising media. Many trying to lose weight at the expense of their health or become anorexic. In order to accept them as beings in their own right, we wanted more of a psychological support in everyday life, to put in place during the school holidays a dance workshop hip hop. This form of dance is a cultural mix in which young people feel good and easily express their feelings: anger, rage, despair, expectation, ... This project aims to enhance boys and girls to accept each others and girls who are « complexed »
by their physical "non-standard" by helping them accept themselves, helping young men in changing
their views on the woman's body. This project aims to help young people by teaching them respect
for others and acceptance.
Project objectives
1. Understanding the effects of exclusion and sexism on the motivation and empowerment of youth.
2. Understand the historical, social and cultural situation: learning to place his own experience from
the experience shared by an entire community. (Immigration, colonization, racism, social exclusion,
influence of social environment, benefits and harms of social security in times of structural
unemployment and a precarious school).
3. Understanding what factors come out of the doldrums of young, beginning to understand why
participants have resisted the termination through an exchange of their personal careers. What
sources of pride, motivation exist?
4. Think what could be the role of young leaders in their community.
5. Create, work on a joint project on the exchange
6. Present the results of this thinking in public, inviting them to respond through an interactive
theatrical presentation.
7. Present the results of the two exchanges to a wider audience, specifically young people from
communities affected by the termination. For that, we think mostly of short videos on the Internet.
Consider projects (youth initiatives) to implement in their local communities that can respond to the problem.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXCHANGE MEANS THAT WE RECEIVE BUT ALSO WAITING FOR OUR PARTNER TO RECEIVE US; We need the 2 part of an exchange projet 1.1. We could send it to French National agency or yours, as you want. Send us an email with summary of project in your country means your part and activities.
