Dance is the union of body language and art. It is an element of great educational value. This art develops physical, cognitive and emotional aspects. And it has a social component that promotes the social integration of all people who perform. It is important for the person who performs it and is also important for the person who observes.
Dance is a universal human activity. Its extends throughout the history of mankind, throughout the planet. The dance is seen in both sexes and its extends throughout all ages. This art uses the human body through specific to express ideas, emotions and feelings body techniques. Its conditioned by a rhythmic structure; Polymorphic, because it presents itself in many ways and can be classified; archaic, classic, modern, popular and versatile. It has different dimensions: art, education, leisure and therapy
The dance combines different factors: biological, psychological, sociological, historical, aesthetic, moral, political, technical, and geographic. The dance combines the expression and technique and it has a double activity, sometimes individually and sometimes in groups.
The dance does a great job of complementing in education with social problems. The dance develops skills that promote personal development and social integration. The dance also promotes self-confidence, self growth, affection with others. the ability to express and enjoy the time and space is increased. This encourages overcoming stereotypes and prejudices by culture or gender differences.
These helps to overcome shyness and inhibitions. The dance offers a healthy alternative entertainment. These establishes models of social identification.
