Cultural crossroads

Multilateral youth exchange on intercultural dialogue, cultural heritage and traditions in Bitola, Macedonia. 5 participants and one leader per country.

The aim of this project is to bring together young people from different cultural and social backgrounds in order to promote mutual understanding by allowing them to discover new cultures and traditions through customs, music and dance, to connect themselves with their cultural heritage and cultural identity and to develop positive self image.

This project is designed to give an opportunity to young people from six countries to meet together and work to understand the meaning of tradition and how it is sustained, to share general knowledge about cultural heritage, history and culture of the countries they come from. During the 8 days exchange, participants will identify traditional elements such as: dance, music, costumes. Participants will have a chance to explore each other culture, stereotypes and prejudice throughout joint creative work.
This exchange will contribute participants to identify and examine their own values and beliefs and compare them with those of their peers.
Each participant must be active in the Youth exchange for the full program of 8 days. Each participant must participate in the preparation, evaluation and follow up activities of the project.
