CULTURAL ACTIVITIES AND ART IN TOGO

As a preamble to any definition of a departmental cultural policy, it is important to remember that training and arts education is a prerequisite for successful cultural openness.
Only a collective and comprehensive educational work will give full meaning to this approach to the outside. The teacher of elementary and secondary must play a pivotal role in the cultural action. It is both the initiator, the actor and ensures the continuation.

It contributes to the formation of personality and is a determining factor in the construction of cultural identities.
The artistic and cultural education reinforces the cultural dimension in all disciplines; it allows the acquisition of transferable skills that can be mobilized in other areas of learning. It reinforces the mastery of languages, including French, by developing analytical abilities and expression. It thus prepares the choice and judgment is involved in the formation of a lucid and enlightened mind, and contributes to the learning of the civic and social life.
