Development of the multicultural dialogue in Europe through running honest conversation on difficult topics which still divides European communities.
Encounters to Ukraine and Sweden for youth of the age 18-22 years old from different parts of Ukraine and Sweden in order to bring the discussion about keeping the human values and human rights in Europe in dramatical historical perspectives of the last century (e.g. 2WW: Soviet Army and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, Holocaust in Europe and saving Jews, deportations in Ukraine, resistance to totalitarian regimes, fall of the Soviet Union) through family/community stories of participants.
The problem of integration into new community (representatives of different parts of former USSR after war, during war, Ukrainians working abroad vs similar process in Europe through refugees etc.)
Goal: Development of the multicultural dialogue in Europe through running honest conversation on difficult topics which still divides European communities in historical perspective.
Target groups:
- 20 young persons of the age 18-22 years old from different regions of Ukraine (much preference on vulnerable groups of participants from the east of Ukraine and Crimea) and Sweden.
- Teachers-animators/local coordinator from universities/school
We are looking for a partner in Sweden to apply to the open call of the Swedish Institute, deadline: 25 Jan 2017.
