Cross-cultural, Traditional Games

Promoting cultural awareness, inclusivity via traditional European and Turkish games through campus-led, eco-friendly, collaborative activities.

This project aims to promote cultural awareness, inclusivity, and environmental sustainability through traditional games and sports played in different regions of Europe and Turkey. These games, passed down from generation to generation, not only reflect the lifestyles and values of communities but also support physical activity, cooperation, and intercultural dialogue.

The project will be carried out under the coordination of Çukurova University and will include interactive and hands-on learning activities involving both university students and academic staff. These activities, which will be conducted using local, traditional, and eco-friendly materials, will support sustainable practices and reduce the use of expensive/synthetic equipment.

Through mobilities, workshops, and collaborative field activities, participants will rediscover the social and educational value of traditional sports, share methods on how to teach and preserve them, and evaluate the role of these games in building more inclusive and environmentally conscious communities.
