Create & Control

Create & Control is opportunity for high school students to look into the world of politics and state administration from the perspective of those who govern.

The "Create & Control" project is one-year long Slovak competition designed for 200 Slovak high
school students that combine basic elements of creating own fictive country with the model of the
European Parliament, where students are supposed to discuss and solve national and international
problems, which focus on European youth goals. The aim of the project is to raise students'
awareness of the internal and external policies of the state, and economic systems, while improving
skills in critical thinking, argumentation, teamwork and to teach them about the importance of
cooperation between the countries. Participants acquire these skills during international summits and
school meetings, where they work together in order to come to a consensus to address national and
international issues. The results of international negotiations and national solutions to given problems
will be assessed by the experts, producing outputs where young people themselves seek ways to
help their country as much as possible in both, the real and fictitious world. These outputs will create
the outcome of the project, the recommendations of the high school students to the EU Youth Goals.
