CTAYR reaches out to youth, promoting diversity, dialogue, tolerance and sense of initiative by promoting arts against youth radicalisation
Cooperation and Tools Against Youth Radicalisation participants, as youth workers and educators will equip the project's beneficiaries with competences
and methods needed for transferring the common fundamental values of our society, particularly to
hard-to-reach young people and preventing violent radicalisation and extremism.
This YE aim is to explore ways to actively express tolerance amongst nations and people of different cultures and educate young people how to disseminate peace education. As we know in the world now is dominating a liquefied situation and recently we feel very often the smell of the war.
Peace is one of the key values on which EU was built. We are witnessing war and conflict processes that happening in the world. Conflicts, prejudices and radicalism create tension between countries that have different backgrounds either religiously or culturally.
In addition to this, social and mass media can disseminate information in a very confrontational way. In order to overcome such disruptive
tendencies, our project relates to the core values of EU in order to promote tolerance, which in turn builds foundations on which peaceful and reasonable solutions to these crises can be explored. This is a strong link to the objectives of ERASMUS+.
Cooperation and Tools Against Youth Radicalisation aims to build competences to actively express and spread the idea of peace, antiradicalism and tolerance.
Through role play workshops and innovative creative art workshops participants will express ideas in their artworks, which they will create during the project.
The participants will create art which will challenge and explore emotions and expressions of what it means to be tolerant in todays society drawing on; personal experience recent events and historic conflicts.
Thus building on positive experiences in order to facilitate an international platform which will foster creativity and promote anti-radicalism through art on an international scale.
In order to do so 32 youth from 6 countries including Greece, Armenia, Ukraine, Georgia, Italy, and Poland or Netherlands, will participate on small scale art project, build confidence, competences and skills for intercultural
dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity, democratic life.
Secondarily, aspects of international dimension of youth activities and capacity for cooperation between organizations in the youth field shall be enhanced.
We have already formed a consortium with partners from Greece, Georgia and Armenia. We won't accept any partnership proposal out of the group of countries described above.
