Construction of seconday school in Jharkhand ,India for the poor tribal children of Jharkhand. Total 7066 schools of rural areas are colsed by government
From 28 December 2014 – 29 December 2019- the BJP government in Jharkhand closed ,600 primary schools out of 24,656 and 6,466 secondary schools out of 12,461 located in rural areas of different districts. Out of 24,656 primary schools 23,810 and out of 12,461 secondary schools 11,805 are in rural areas. The highest number of students studying are in government primary schools 1,317,572 and primary with secondary schools 2,197,877 and primary with high school 53,982. This indicates a good number of school dropout. As the scarcity of school has grown in the state and fight for admission too has increased. The children coming from villages are not able to perform as good as the children of the city in the entrance exam; thus, their admission in the secondary school located in the city is becoming so difficult. We are aiming to at least fulfill the gape created by the government. With the plan, we will be able to educate at least 2000 students. We will admit primarily students coming from rural villages, who else will be forced to child labour or drop out of school. With the present move of the government, the major population residing in the rural community are affected. With this move, number of illiterate children and school drop out after primary and seconday school is drastically increasing. It is so because the school are now far away from the village and difficult for children to go by themselves due to geographical situation.
In Ranchi city, there are only a few missionary schools - St Xaviours, Doranda, Loreto ,Doranda, St.John’s, St. Aloysius, St.Anne ,Prabhat tara and Ursuline schools. The part of the city, where we are opening schools, no missionary schools are located. The number of students coming to Ranchi to pursue quality education is so high that the Missionary schools in Ranchi are not able to take admission even of 50% of the poor children coming for rural areas. Thus, many go to private coaching to complete secondary education for they can’t afford to pay expensive fee in the private commercial schools.
