Connecting Roots

Our organization ART KRUH is located in a region with highest rate of people living in a rural area in Slovakia. In such a place young people can hardly find personal fulfillment, especially the basic condition: job opportunities or higher education. Therefore they often migrate to the cities and rural remains just a place for visiting old members of family.

Different situation is in urban areas, where demand for healthy and natural products depended on countryside (healthy food, natural medicine and cosmetics, nature itself), grows. One of possible answers is support of entrepreneurship, farming or creative industry among young people, specifically focused on connection between urban and rural areas.

Therefore aim of this project is to search for partners and build long-term partnerships and to connect organizations working in urban and rural areas. We want to support them in sharing good practices and enriching each other to improve their work.
