"Connecting people & developing synergies in the StadtHaus HO" ESC - Call for participants

Welcome to StadtHaus in Hessisch Oldendorf!

Since 2020, we have been developing concepts and projects for the local community and getting in touch with our citizens. Our mission is to bring people together, to empower them and to support them with our expertise. We encourage citizen involvement by creating spaces and opportunities that strengthen connections and support collaboration. We give people the opportunity to network and connect with the other members of the community. For exemple, we hold a low-threshold language course for refugees, we delevope initiatives like cooking evening and sewing café, monthly we host a small festival, where we can get in touch with more residents and celebrate community spirit. Moreover, we manage and allocate spaces for various initiatives, such as toddler groups and counseling services (e.g., employment agency support, office guides).

Participants will support us in setting up neighborhood management by creating welcoming spaces where people can meet and collaborate. Through empowerment strategies, we aim to enhance civic engagement and strengthen the community. At StadtHaus, we strive to be a central hub for volunteer work, local associations, and social and cultural initiatives in Hessisch Oldendorf. By joining us, you’ll play a vital role in fostering neighborhood cohesion and participation.

We are seeking someone who is confident and comfortable to get in touch with people of the community, who is open, curious and enthusiastic for connecting with residents and learning about their needs and who is willing to work with diverse groups, even if their German skills are still developing—communication goes beyond words, and we value all forms of connection. Additional skills in social media and public relations are a plus, as we aim to increase visibility and bring our projects to life for the local community. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone eager to be an integral part of our team throughout their service. We encourage you to bring your unique interests and talents to the role, enriching our work with your personal touch.
