The project is a training course that aims at diminishing the gaps created by different types of conflicts in Europe.
The course will cover different types of conflicts based on different causes, and therefore different ways of resolving conflicts through non-violent actions. Increased attention will be paid to promoting a constructive debate on the recent conflicts in Europe & the necessary cooperation in the field of youth. This will be achieved through non-violent approaches that lead to peace-building actions and human rights promotion. In addition, youth workers will discuss the significant role of youth participation in peace-building initiatives, their role the link between past generations over which the negative impact of conflicts is visible.

DATES: 22 – 27 May 2019, 22 and 28 May as travel days

Objectives
✗Increasing youth workers' awareness of conflict management and resolution through intercultural dialogue and their co-operation through direct interaction with participants from other countries during training days
✗Preventing / overcoming intercultural conflicts based on stereotypes by creating an atmosphere of mutual understanding & mutual cooperation in finding a solution acceptable to both parties
✗ Capacity of the participants with methods of conflict mediation and elaboration with them of a follow up plan adapted for their implementation in their daily work in the sending communities
