Our project aims to determine the key competences that labour market needs and adapt education and training curricula at secondary-tertiary level VET schools.
Our project is primarily aimed at adapting VET to meet the needs of the labour market according to this year's call for proposals in Vocational Education and Training (VET) dimension. Other priorities of the project are to increase the attractiveness of VET, and to contribute to innovation in VET. Project activities are designed to last for 24 months, and a grant support of 250,000 Euros is applied. Within the scope of the project, it is proposed that 4 institutions from different countries which provide VET services in similar vocational fields will be partners. The areas where the coordinating institution provides education and training are: Law, Information Technologies, Office Management, Accounting and Finance departments. If the areas of at least two partners overlap, project activities can be carried out for others, as well.
Within the project, “Project Management and Participant Selection”, “Current Situation and Sector Analysis (Internal Analysis, Upper Policy Documents Analysis, Stakeholder Analysis, SWOT Analysis)”, “Preparation, Implementation and Mobilities of Education and Training Programs”, “Evaluation and Module Development” and finally “Dissemination” work packages will be implemented. During these activities, services will be purchased from regional administrations, at least three sector representatives, universities and tertiary vocational schools and human resources consultancy offices by each partner country. Students of overlapping professional fields will attend mobilities to host countries that are to be determined by the partners. They will ptake part in work-based trainings, workshops, hackathons and cultural activities.
As project outputs, "basic professional skills" for each field, and "communication skills" will be determined jointly in all fields, as a result of the evaluations and reports gathered from the sector and other stakeholders regarding the VET fields implemented. Course modules will be created to respond to these needs, and additional online asynchronous education tools will be published on the project website. These outputs will be submitted to regional and central administrations and will be proposed to be added to the current VET curriculas. In addition, initiatives will be held to disseminate these education and training modules transnationally.
