Community Hubs

Develop Community Learning Hubs by recycling shipping containers.

Community Learning Hubs will be constructed in India, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. They are being developed to provide learning centres for local youth and the unemployed/unskilled.

Key features:
- built from recycled shipping containers
- consist of desks, chairs, computers, server
- self-powered through solar energy systems
- standard internet supply withy satellite backup
- accommodation section for Hub Manager/security team
- learning equipment/devices/boards/screens

The aim of the hubs is to:
- provide a secure learning space and environment
- provide access to and accessible information/material for skills development
- provide a self-powered/sustainable hub insulated from regular power/internet outages
- offer a comprehensive route to entrepreneurship and employment
- develop local community economies and commercial ecosystems
- reduce the outflow of local workforce to foreign territories
- contribute to environmental protection through sustainable designs, materials, power, output and social impact
