Coaching rural

Asociația HESSA (Romania, OID E10316374) is preparing a KA153 mobility of youth workers for the 1 October 2026 deadline, with one hard consortium rule: every partner organisation must be based in a community of under 10,000 people.

Why: youth workers in small communities work with the young people most at risk of dropping out and leaving, but they give advice instead of structured accompaniment. Coaching methods exist — designed for urban NGOs with teams and budgets. In a village, the youth worker is usually alone: no supervision, no tools, nobody to analyse a case with.

The arc: TC1 (5 days, rural Iași, Romania) — foundations of coaching with vulnerable young people; each youth worker writes a testing plan for their own community. Local phase (4 months) — each participant accompanies 3-5 real young people at home, with a structured journal and monthly online supervision. TC2 (5 days) — we analyse what worked across all communities and consolidate a coaching toolkit for small communities, built from documented practice, not theory.

Participants: 26 youth workers (2 per organisation) from 13 organisations, 8-10 EU/associated countries. Timeline: start January–May 2027, approx. 14 months. Coordinator: rural organisation ourselves (Costuleni, Iași county), president is a certified coach, with a KA153 already implemented in 2026 (The Career Pathfinder).

What we ask from partners: proof of location (under 10,000 inhabitants), a described local youth group, the same 2 youth workers at both courses, commitment to the 4-month practice phase.
