ISMEK provides free arts and crafts, cultural and vocational training under 35 main fields and over 600 sub branches. Under Information and Communication Technologies, İSMEK provides free vocational training in 71 different sub branches in total

Our project will be covering “Cloud Computing/Cloud Technologies”
What is Cloud Computing ?
-Cloud computing is an information technology (IT) paradigm that enables ubiquitous access to shared pools of configurable system resources and higher-level services that can be rapidly provisioned with minimal management effort, often over the Internet.
Cloud Computing will also lead to develop “Smart Cities” of the Future for this reason we as vet providers will need to identify the job title of “Cloud Computing Systems Expert” and then by developing curricula after deciding the professional requirements of the field and train qualified staff to recruit in this popular field of the future.
Under Cloud Technologies there are these job titles as listed below:
1) Data Centre Professions
* Infrastructure and Cabling Expert
* System Expert
* Network Expert

2) Web Application and Development Professions
* Web Programming Expert
* Database Expert

But there is not a job definition yet in Turkey and in Europe called “Cloud Computing Systems Expert”. Although we can see lots of examples in USA and Canada, Cloud Computing Systems Expert is not very popular in Europe but it is a really promising professional field for vocational education.
As İSMEK ICT School, we provide trainings for İstanbul residents who are willing to develop themselves and become more professional in their jobs or who would like to learn a new field and become a professional aiming to be recruited in the related field. Our students consist of different educational levels varying from high school to PHD. This means we have students at high school level, technicians and engineers who are already working in an ICT field.
With our project we aim to:
* Make a needs analysis coveringCloud Computing and Cloud Computing related trainings in partner organisations,
* Develop our ICT trainings by improving/adding Cloud Computing into our system(s),
* Exchange our experiences/good practises among all the partners,
* Find out about/develop new approaches in Cloud Computing Trainings
* Hold meetings/study visits to the partner organisations to examine one another’s VET systems.
****Only Cloud Computing/Cloud Computing Systems Training providers, Universities, Institutions and curricula developers and Consulting Companies who have a deep experience in Cloud Computing Systems/Technologies will be considered as partners in our project. This is an obligation indicated by Turkish National Agency.****
